Title:                                      Semiconductor Packaging Engineer

 

Location:                              Seal Beach, CA

 

Description of Role:

 

• Assemble semiconductor chip to ceramic package
• MUST have Electro-mechanical engineering background
• MUST be an expert in thermal management between semiconductor chip to ceramic package
• MUST have experience in ceramic/chip soldering disciplines
• MUST have experience with die attach disciplines
• Develop parts and subassemblies for multi-million unit volume production, including injection molded plastic, complex sheet metal, soldered joints, ceramic substrates, dispensed sealants, adhesives, and thermal materials, etc.

§     Plan and execute rigorous testing and provide interpretation of complex test data

§     Thermal FEA as preferred.

• Insert molding involving plastic and sheet metal as preferred.
• Develop and maintain subsystem specifications
• Present reviews of design, DVT (design verification test) plans and results
• Develop and maintain BOM’s, and UL critical components analysis
• Develop and maintain FMEA’s to identify and document technical risks
• Develop and maintain detail schedules and report progress against schedule

§     Deliver ANSI Y14.5 compliant mechanical drawings

• Develop and maintain accurate tolerance analysis for receiver plate subsystem

§     Perform thermal FEA and hand calculations as required to model heat transfer

§     Complete projects & action items in a reasonable timeframe

 

Background:

§  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, chemical engineering or related field

§  Interest in working in a hyper-growth environment
