Dow Corning Corporation is a US-based company and the global silicones market leader with approximately $5 billion in sales and operations in 30 countries. It develops, manufactures and markets silicone-based products and services and offers more than 7000 products to more than 25000 customers around the world.
Dow Corning has established a Business Center on the Seneffe site in Belgium. The Business Center’s main mission is to deliver first class service to Dow Corning Europe’s customers and distributors on all the aspects of our specialty silicones business with them. This includes dealing with all their requests for (product and application) information, orders and identification of new business opportunities. Success is measured in terms of € business growth and customer satisfaction indexes.
To staff this Business Center within the Construction Market Business Unit team, we are now looking for:
Marketing Specialist Solar Industry
The jobholder will lead the global market intelligence for the Solar industry and marketing activities in one or more new market segments globally. His/her responsibilities will be:
• Conducting market research for the whole solar market, based on available analyst reports and databases, customer interviews, fairs, desk research and information exchange with our commercial teams globally
• Preparing analysis and recommendation based on this research
• Presenting analysis and recommendation internally and updating the key stakeholders (from executive mgt to the relevant operational teams)
• Supporting the marketing team with analysis in preparing the MMP and special projects for his/her Market segment (s)
• Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and industry stakeholders in his/her market segment including key opinion leaders, media representatives and other professionals in the Solar industry.
• Conducting market and opportunity analysis and developing business recommendations
• Developing marketing 5P strategies and tactics for his/her market segment
• Recommending commercialization projects as relevant
• Leading the successful product launch of new products for the global market by implementing effective internal and external marketing programs
• Optimizing value capture in commercialization projects by development of clear unique selling proposals
• Supporting marketing communication activities such as leading trade shows or developing literature
• Providing effective internal and external training, marketing collateral and support to sales, technical service and supply chain to implement strategies
The jobholder will travel 20-30% of his/here time and will be located in Seneffe – Belgium or Wiesbaden - Germany
• has a university degree in Marketing, Business or MBA with a strong technical acumen
• is mastering marketing and financial tools (e.g., NPV, DPM, value chain analysis, value pricing, financial statements, market plans, etc.)
• is result driven with experience and track record of new business development
• is a self motivated self starter able to work independently
• has negotiation experience with excellent communication skills
• Is fluent in English. An additional language is a plus
