Applications Field Engineer - Electronic Materials (Europe)
 
Electronic Materials is an early stage business with major growth potential for both Sun Chemical and the DIC group. Working closely with the commercial team, the Applications Specialist, Electronic Materials is responsible for supporting the sales and technical support efforts by ensuring successful product performance both in the laboratory and in the field. The ideal candidate will have high tech applications experience in photo voltaic applications.
 
Specifically the Application Specialist, Electronic Materials will:
 
·        Reports directly to Global Product Manager Electronic Materials
·        Work closely with the Business Development Manager to support the customer activities in the region
·        Provide technical VOC to the business teams
·        Work directly with customers during product evaluations and implementations
·        Provide laboratory and field validation for new products
·        Develop and manage project schedules
·        Execute ongoing field application support at existing and new accounts
·        Work with cross-functional teams including R/D through the GPM DFSS stage gate development process specifically in application and process validation for new products.
·        Report on product and process performance activities and make recommendations regarding deficiencies as well as opportunities for enhanced performance.
 
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following key skills and competencies:
 
·        Minimum of eight years of technical field and project management experience
·        Experience working directly with customers on high risk, early stage development products and programs
·        Commercial acumen and understands the business impact
·        Strong technical understanding of electronic materials products and applications.
·        Strong problem solving and analytical skills
·        Excellent interpersonal skills
·        Excellent written and oral communication skills
·        Motivated self-starter personality
·        Minimum of BS degree in technology
