JOB DESCRIPTION:
The systems engineer leads the successful coordination of engineering and manufacturing to deliver systems to the specific customer configuration. Balancing engineering skills, manufacturing understanding, and customer communications, this position provides both breadth and depth in the engineering discipline. Designs, defines and implements complex system requirements. Determines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Provides project support and leadership to engineering, manufacturing, sales, and customer for large-scale process vacuum systemsThe position has regular interface to all of engineering, manufacturing, and has regular contact with the executive management team.

- Assist in Supply-Chain Development/Selection
- System-Level Schematics
o P&ID
o Instrumentation & Control

o Facilities requirements
- Product Functionality Verification
o Equipment Characterization
o Performance Testing
o Reliability Testing
- Maintains schedules, and mitigates risk factors in engineering and manufacturing that may impact achievement of on-time system delivery.
- Is the primary interface between management, customers, suppliers and specialty engineers in the systems development process
- Coordinates cross-department teams to ensure accuracy of engineering requirements and designs, and ability to successfully manufacture.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
– B.S. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, M.S. preferred
– (10)+ Yrs. Experience in Semiconductor or Similar Capital Equipment Product Development experience with 5+ yrs vacuum equipment experience
– Thin Film systems design and hands-on experience with thin-film processing
– Automation & Control-Systems Experience
– Hands-On PLC programming
– AC Power design/integration experience for capital equipment
– Throughput analysis
– System Architecture Design/Development
– Reliability Testing/Reliability Test Plan Development (DoD, Other)
– Multidisciplinary, complex product experience
– AutoCAD or Solidworks experience preferred
– ERP/MRP experience preferred
