Responsibilities:

1. Design and fabricate novel CIS/CIGS thin film PV devices (or components thereof) via sputtering processes. Transfer laboratory processes into manufacturing.

 

2. Organize and interpret testing & characterization of thin film PV devices including some or all of: current-voltage, resistivity/conductivity, quantum efficiency, Hall effect, carrier lifetime, spectroscopy, XRD, XRF, SEM, etc.

3. Devise and document standard operating procedures.

4. Design and build (or have built) specialized equipment and fixtures as needed.

5. Work with cross-functional teams to refine technology strategy and optimize PV device performance.

6. Train and manage operators & technicians.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field preferably with focus on device design, fabrication, testing and operation. 

2. Require 3-5 years hands-on experience and demonstrated capability in CIS/CIGS materials systems and technology.

3. Strong theoretical and working knowledge of semiconductor & device physics, optical physics, and materials.

4. Familiarity with DOE and SPC concepts and practice.

5. Self motivated, results oriented team player with excellent analytical and communication skills.
