Position Overview

This individual assumes responsibility for process development related to applications in hard disk fabrication, semiconductor device fabrication, and solar cell fabrication.  This position requires basic academic training and some industrial experience in film/material s and process characterization using various analytical metrologies and process equipment operation/study.

Job Duties

·         Process development and qualification for Intevac's hardware and technologies

·         Operation and characterization of hardware and/or engineering equipment and operation of metrology systems

·         Construct/execute experiments, analyze results, and author technical reports and recommendations

·         Summarize, present and communicate projects status and deliverables

Essential Knowledge and Skills

·         Hands on experience in the above

·         Process knowledge related to deposition and etch such as CVD, plasma/wet etch, PVD, Sputtering-Deposition, Evaporation

·         Process Metrology and Characterization such as ellipsometer/reflectometer, TXRF, XRR/XRD, SEM, etc .

·         DOE (Design of Experiment) & process monitoring

·         Data analysis

·         HDD or Semiconductor or Solar fabrication processes & technologies

Minimum Requirements

·         BS degree in materials, chemistry, physics, related engineering or other related sciences

·         2 years of experience in the a relevant area, including experience in process development
