From an initial funding support of SGD 350 million from the government, Singapore’s clean energy efforts have since attracted subsequent billion-dollar investments from clean technology giants all around the world to continue to develop their core activities and regional headquarters here in the next five to ten years.
Appropriate to our geographical position in the tropics, one of Singapore's clean energy forcus areas is solar energy. Singapore's strong foundation in semiconductors also serves us well in the solar energy sector. our efforts have attracted major solar players, and Contact Singapore is working with these companies to welcome solar specialists and experienced engineers to establish their careers in Singapore.
Minimum of two to three years of working or research experience and a strong domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- Robotic and equipment controls for solar module manufacturing
- Solar cell simulation
- Solar and PV module test methodology, DOE evaluation and market certification
- Prototype PV module design
- Metallurgy and PV module design
- Technology qualification
- Green shipping and offshore design and construction
- Sustainable cities and urban solutions
- Clean energy, conventional cleaner energy
- Climate change adaptation
- Green ports
