Position: Head Of Thin Film Engineering

Job Description:

· Manage the Front End Thin Film Technology Development initiatives and projects as applicable to a-Si based Thin Film PV Technology.

· Responsible for driving R&D activities to improve conversion efficiency, throughput and lower total production cost of a-Si based Thin Film PV cells.

· Evaluate new Thin Film PV technologies and commercialize them from lab scale to high volume manufacturing

 
 

Skills Required:

· Possesses strong team building and uses business and technical expertise to develop collaborative solutions. Proven team leadership and people development skills are highly desirable.

· Requires excellent communication skills (presentation, written, verbal) of both technical and non-technical issues

· Capable of influencing internal decision makers to make decisions aligned with strategies and objectives benefiting the entire organization

· Strong knowledge of a-Si based solar cell technology and semiconductor process technology are required

· Demonstrated record of decision making on complex programs, conflict resolution, leadership across organizations and maintaining deadlines.

· Prior experience in R&D group management is a must.

 

Education and Experience Required:

· A PhD in Physics/Materials Science/Chemical Engineering is required with more than 10 yrs of industry related research experience

· Prior experience in a-Si based Thin Film PV Technology is required.

· Must be considered a technical leader in the area if Thin Film PV, as demonstrated by prior research papers and patents

· Prior group/organizational management experience is required.

KSK Surya Photovoltaic Pvt Ltd, Headquartered in Hyderabad, India, plans to install two Applied Materials SunFab Thin Film Lines, totaling approximately 150MW output capacity. The SunFab lines will be installed in a state-of-the-art facility, including an R&D center, which KSK Surya plans to build in Fab City . located in Hyderabad. When completed, the annual capacity will make KSK Surya the largest solar photovoltaic (PV) factory in India. Using Applied Materials advanced tandem junction technology, each 5.7m2 SunFab panel will have a power output greater than 500Wp.
