Summary: Design consulting and coordination for the development of an in-line wet processing system for use in solar cell production. Individual will be responsible for managing and providing guidance to an engineering team during the creation of an alpha and beta tool set. In addition, this person will serve as the single point of contact for coordination/communication with our domestic product development partners.
Description:
- Produce the product specification to be used during tool development through coordination/communication with our development partners.
- Provide guidance to the engineering team regarding specific design requirements/ methods for loading, hand off or unloading of product and processing features or capabilities of in-line tools.
- Provide guidance on component selection, suppliers, material types used in different applications and proper utilization of electrical or mechanical components to maximize reliability, minimize cost and reduce learning curve during the product development.
- Work closely with manufacturing personnel during the initial build and debug of the alpha and beta tools.
- Coordinate with development partners and engineering team to produce system in compliance with all features and capabilities (hardware and software) for the tool to be placed into production and accepted at our customers site.
- Coordinate the production and organization of all design and development documentation to produce a complete package of electrical, mechanical and application data required to properly market and sell the product produced.
Qualifications:
- BS in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
- 3 years minimum experience in design and development of in-line solar wet processing equipment
- 4 years minimum experience in a technical manufacturing role
- Solar cell process engineering knowledge a plus
- Demonstrated problem solving and innovative design skills
- Hands on electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred
- Willingness to travel domestically with occasional international travel
- Valid drivers license, passport and U.S. work papers (if applicable)
