AdvanceSis is an ambitious, growing solar energy company developing high efficiency concentrating photovoltaic (CPV) systems. As part of its rapid expansion programme following significant new investments, we are looking for a high-calibre Senior Electrical Engineer to play a key role in the development of the Company’s products and business.

 

Key responsibilities

 

·        To design, specify and select appropriate electrical equipment and plant including inverters, tracker controllers, string monitors, cables, transformers and appropriate protection systems as required for LV, MV and HV CPV systems.

·        To write technical specifications and liaise with manufacturers to supply equipment.

·        To supervise the installation and commissioning of prototype CPV systems.

·        To ensure systems are compliant with all relevant electrical codes.

·        To assess and evaluate novel inverter technologies

 

Candidate Requirements

 

·        MEng or higher in Electrical Engineering plus CEng status in the IET or equivalent

·        A minimum of five years industrial experience in the design and implementation of electrical power systems and networks. Experience in the renewable energy field would be an advantage.

·        Good working knowledge of European and American electrical codes.

·        Project planning skills.

·        Strong computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).

·        Strong approach to teamwork and collaboration.

·        First class report writing, presentation skills and negotiating skills.

 

The position will be based at our Coventry offices, and is likely to involve overseas travel.
