Job description

As the Photovoltaic Director at SEMI Europe, he/she works with all relevant SEMI functions and regions collectively to provide high value services to our members and customers with respect to industry guidance for global market information, scientific and technical programs, exhibitions, value chain aspects, continuous improvements, standardization and more. The position entails exten­sive communication with SEMI member companies, their customers and other stakeholders in industry and academia.

• Builds critical relationships in Europe with equipment and materials suppliers, cell and module manufacturers (at both technical and executive level) and academia with the objective to strengthen SEMI’s PV Group initiatives in Europe and elsewhere through advisory committees, working groups, and special initiatives as needed.
• Provides technical, strategic and market input to the development of SEMI Europe technical programs in photovoltaic technology including future developments, emerging trends, and special programs.

Experience & Technical Skills

• 5 years of photovoltaic industry experience in technology, project management, strategic marketing or operations. Broad scientific/technical knowledge in the photovoltaic area.
• Communication skills (at both technical and executive level), as well as a strong capability to form and manage teams and ability to build communities; a good listener and team player.
• Project management and strategic planning skills.
• English and German written and verbal communication skills. Additional language capability is a plus.
