Basic Job Function
· Improve solar cell efficiency through device integration and optimization.
· Work closely together with device engineering teams to assess impacts and interactions of new device developments on the final device.
· Plan, design, execute, document, and analyze experiments in a prototype laboratory and on a production line.
Experience:
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a device engineering role in the photovoltaic and/or semiconductor industry(s).
· Must have public/private industrial company experience in a high visibility and accountability role.
· Experience in successfully taking technology from R&D to production desired.
· Experience with transparent conducting oxides, compound semiconductors, and interface engineering desired.
Education:
· M.S. in electrical engineering, physics, or material science required, Ph.D. preferred.
Required Skills
Technical
· Experience with semiconductor device
physics, device integration, and R&D.
· Experience with electrical and optical
characterization of semiconductor devices.
· Experience with material science
characterization approaches and methods.
· Experience with data analysis, design of
experiments, and statistical inference.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

· Perform a high degree of cross-functional interaction between R&D, development engineering, reliability, failure analysis, external vendor, equipment engineering, etc. departments.
