Basic Job Function
· Introduce new materials to improve efficiency and stability.
· Construct cells using a combination of R&D sputtering tools and production equipment, evaluate their performance and conclude directions for further development.
· Conclude the improvements by demonstrating the improved performance in production.
Experience:
· Must have Five (5) years of industry experience in the following:
o Device development using PVD techniques.
o Thin film characterization.
o Experimental Development of semiconductor optoelectronic devices (Lasers, LEDs, Detectors, Imaging sensors or solar cells).
o Processing of heterojunction devices
· Strong solid state physics background, and semiconductor device characterization
· Excellent understanding of the PN heterojunction & schottky junction.
· An experience in process development in production environment in addition to an R&D experience is an advantage.
Education:
· Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Material Science or Physics required.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
· Develop process conditions to achieve optimal film performance, for various new, modified and existing films on R&D equipment.
· Construct cells using existing and modified R&D equipment integrating new and existing materials and optimizing the full structure.
· Collaborate with Modeling experts to achieve desired efficiency and stability improvements.
· Design and execute experiments to optimize process and to characterize materials properties.
· Analyze data and decide on improvements to be made and refinements to directions.
· Recognize metrology gaps and drive functions in the organization to implement metrology in R&D for adequate process development.
· Provide data and recommendation to management as to the potential of specific improvements to improve device performance.
· Collaborate with Manufacturing to integrate modules with new processes and materials on the production line.
· Provide help in yield crises time to resolve manufacturing issues in field of expertise.
