Job Description:
The VP of Sales and Marketing is responsible for helping to define the vision to capitalize on the coming revolution in solar technology, and selling PRALOS technology platform elements and product development capabilities to OEMs. He or she is directly responsible for building the PRALOS sales and marketing organization, initiating key relationships, and driving key relationships with partners and customers.Roles & Responsibilities:
Deliver the PRALOS technology platform to the world.
Define innovative product designs and applications using solar technology
Engage in key partner and customer relationships to develop solutions using our solar platform architecture, selling our embedded technology.
Deliver finished products from concept through design and production phases
Work with designers, proto-typers, and manufacturers to bring products to market
Influence product strategy and roadmaps; engage with OEMs.
Understand the requirements of the customer (define markets and products); focus PRALOS sales processes and expertise on those needs and close the opportunity.
Day-to-day, the Director is also responsible for leading the company. This requires motivating, managing, and understanding the team. Build the sales and marketing processes and organization and establish key relationships across an international network. Sets and achieves sales forecasts.
Essential Experience & Requirements:
Knowledge/Experience in application of technology to meet customer needs. Understands customer requirements and be able to translate them into real world products
Superior interpersonal and presentation skills.
New ways of thinking–creative engineers are critical to our success
Ability to rapidly identify and learn relevant aspects of solar integration and application, then drive product development using our solar platform
Self motivated and ability to thrive in a changing, often ambiguous environment
A great sense of humor
Solid business analysis, organization and Customer relationship management techniques.
Progressive business background including strong communication (verbal and written), analytical, and consulting skills
Required experience and knowledge: MA/MS or equivalent experience: 10+ years of business development involving technology based marketing and sales of products and services. Experience in building high performing sales organizations.
