Our business unit Thin Film Solar develops production systems with process technology for the mass production of thin-film solar modules.

For our growing European Sales Team we are looking for you as a:

Key Account Manager (m/f)
Northern and Eastern Germany

Your responsibilities:

  • Support the development of the annual sales plan in collaboration with the Region Manager to drive the overall incountry Oerlikon Solar strategy and objectives

  • Negotiate approved prices with local customers and prospects

  • Secure orders to maximize sales growth

  • Communicate customer requirements to internal partners

  • Analyze the local market potential for the total energy, renewables and solar & thin film market segments and maintain the corresponding database

  • Assume responsibility for business development activities such as the visit of trade shows, government bodies and professional associations
  • Maintain the customer database and records

 

Your profile:

  • Degree in a technical discipline (e.g. electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering), ideally supplemented by an MBA

  • Several years professional experience, preferably in the field of solar energy, semiconductors or a similar market environment

  • Proven track record of selling complex, high-value capital equipment goods or services

  • Local market and industry knowledge

  • Outstanding key account management and technical/strategic selling skills

  • Know-how of relevant management tools (e.g. account development plans and account mapping)

  • Fluency in English and German, written and oral
    Excellent communicator with customer-oriented work approach
  • Willingness to travel more than 50 per cent of your working time in order to build and maintain close personal contact to your customers and prospects
