Suniva is presently building a Solar Cell manufacturing factory in the Atlanta Georgia metropolitan area.  The factory will be a 24x7 facility producing 50 MW per year of Solar Cells by mid-2009.

Reports to: Plant Manager 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and qualify suppliers for chemicals and other production materials to support a solar cell factory start-up

• Establish and maintain procedures for managing existing and future supplier relationships

• Work with Engineering to assure that  all materials support the technical requirements of the process

• Support a program of continuous improvement consistent with company business objectives

• Work with R&D to evaluate and aggressively implement new technology

• Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings.

• Other duties as assigned

 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Four-year degree

• Direct experience in a procurement role.

• Experience working within a system consistent with ISO-9001 or equivalent is desirable
