We are a young and rapidly growing company whose production quality consistently sets new standards in the photovoltaic industry.For the Technology Division of our 100% owned subsidiary Solibro GmbH we are currently looking for a Manager of Module Efficiency (m/f).

Your tasks

  • Ascertain that module conversion efficiency wattage is not unnecessary lost in any production step
  • Drive development of Solibro's production technology towards higher module efficiency
  • Survey an report CIGS relevant technology from suppliers, competitors and R&D organisations and based on that propose internal developments
  • Analyze the production steps with respect to how they perform with respect to overall module efficiency
  • Initiate, or together with the process engineers carry out, in-line experiments aimed increasing the average module efficiency. In this work use SPC and DOE tools
  • Analyze yield losses in the production. Propose and verify remedies
  • Obtain information from suppliers, publications, patent applications, conferences and other communication relating to the cell/module efficiency of competitors, institutes and universities. Report and suggest how they can be implemented at Solibro


Your profile:

  • University degree in solid state physics or solid state chemistry
  • Professional experience working as an yield improvement engineer in either semiconductor or thin film photovoltaic industry
  • Excellent skills in applying statistical and mathematical tools in mathematical simulation of product yield related problems and analysis of production and product data.
  • Strong communication skills, keeps people informed, ability to teach and to simplify matters
  • Strong orientation to implement things, driving force attitude
  • Experienced manager of R&D and production improvement projects
  • Favourable to have a good network in the CIGS community
  • Favourable to understand vacuum coating processes
  • Excellent English language skills
