Mechanical Design Engineer IV
Applied Materials

Responsibilities:
Technical leadership for a group of engineers within legal guidelines and rules
Responsibility for resource/capacity planning for the assigned project
Responsible for designing and executing of customer orders within the guidelines (calculation, schedule, customer requirements, specifications)
Compliant with internal workflows and processes
Internal and external meetings with customers and suppliers for technical support
Analysis of risks in the offer phase of customer orders
Advising and supporting of other departments like sales, operations, R&D
Support of the development of new machines/facilities
Support of designing and administrating of process cycles/work flows (job instructions, standards, guidelines for SAP)
Implementation and compliance with quality management policies

This position is in the Solar Business Group.

Required Knowledge & Education:
Technical university degree or similar (or adequate knowledge and experience)
Several years experience in design/engineering
Familiar with specific AMAT-technologies
Good team player
IT knowledge: MS-Office, SAP, CAD
Experience in planning and execution of complex projects
Leadership experience
Flexibility and sensitivity in cooperation with internal and external partners
Good knowledge of German and English in writing and speaking
Familiar with vacuum technology
Willingness to frequent business travels - worldwide
