Job Specific Knowledge & Experience: This position is in the Solar Business Group
Responsibilities: Evaluate market opportunity for a new equipment segment for production of thin film photovoltaic products. Define product requirements, evaluate competing technologies. Determine product feature trade offs for performance, cost, reliability, market size, and time to market. Interview end users and other parts of the supply chain to gather market intelligence. Define product strategy to be aligned with other business strategies in the New Business New Products group. Collect data and complete marketing analysis for Product Life Cycle Phases 1 ? 3 including ROI, identify market size and drive C&F testing. This will include partnering with outside suppliers and customers. Skills and abilities to perform job: MS degree in engineering; Knowledge of semiconductor physics; Experience in semiconductor equipment industry or equivalent. Able to make decisions based on limited information. Job Specific Knowledge & Experience: > 5 years experience in an engineering role; >2 years of experience in product management and product marketing Formulate, integrate, and coordinate division strategy for assigned account[s] and/or region[s] to achieve specific SAM Share [%] for assigned account[s] or region[s]. Responsibilities: Manage and develop personnel and projects [and possibly programs] for the Product Marketing organization. Manage risk exposure to the division. Position division products within each account/region in line with customer specifications and product technical capabilities. Responsible for execution or modification of division strategy. Resolve business opportunity disconnect between the PBG and regional accounts. Partner with Sales in developing and implementing pricing strategies for order closure. Prepare and present complex technical and/or high level presentations to accounts.
