Business Development Officer
EPIA, the European Photovoltaic Industry Association, with headquarters in Brussels, is recruiting a Business Development Officer to work in its office in Brussels. EPIA is the world's largest photovoltaic industry association, with members active along the whole solar PV value chain. EPIA’s mission is to give its global membership a distinct and effective voice in the European market.
In order to reinforce its team, EPIA is looking for a full time Business Development Officer to join the Membership & Events Unit. This challenging position is available immediately.
Reporting to the Head of Membership & Events, his/her responsibilities include:
· Expanding EPIA membership though identifying, contacting and signing new members
· Developing marketing materials to promote the association within the industry
· Managing and developing internal tools (such as databases)
· Attracting sponsors for the association’s activities
· Assessing new revenue opportunities
· Participating in the creation of new services for members
· Negotiating and managing the association’s commercial partnerships
· Attending the main industry events
His/her background and qualifications should include:
· Proven experience in sales and marketing, ideally in trade associations or similar
· Customer oriented
· Outstanding oral and written presentation skills
· Familiar with CRM databases
· Willingness to work autonomously in a small international team
· High work flexibility, resistance to stress and willingness to travel
· Fluency in English; knowledge of French, German, Spanish or Italian is an asset
· A passion for renewable energies
