Position Type: Full-time

We are looking for a Senior PV Designer who will act as Lead Designer on a portfolio of several 5MW plus solar parks across Southern England.  Key elements of the role include:

Able to produce all elements of the PV design working on your own. 

Competent to produce CAD drawings.

Competent to use PV design software such as:

• PVsyst
• PV-sol
• RetScreen
• PV Design Pro

 

Competent to interpret the solar resource dataset available to identify the correct irradiation figure to be used.

 

Competent to calculate the appropriate performance ratio for the system.
 

Experienced in designing the DC transmission system.

 

Experienced in designing the AC, HV transmission system.

 

Experienced in carrying out on site checks of the installation and able to carry out the commissioning of the system.

 

There is flexibility on the location of where the position will be based, though 50% of the job will involve travelling across Southern England.
