Principal Technologist (m/f)

Linde and Malibu carry out joint R&D activities at Malibu‘s research
center in Bielefeld, Germany. Malibu is a daughter company of Schüco
Thin Film; within this unit, thin film solar cells are manufactured (see
www.malibu-solar.de). We offer an employment within Linde Gas,
while assigning you for a period of at least two years to Bielefeld.

The principle responsibilites are:

• Create sustainable value for the solar market sector by proposing
and leading R&D projects to develop new products, applications and
associate intellectual property
• Lead R&D projects, act as an expert technical advisor and work with
a variety of individuals and disciplines across the organization globally
• Generate creative ideas for new products or cost savings, and conducting
technical development work
• Represent Linde at industry meetings and with customers
The required qualifications are:
• PhD in physics, chemistry, or chemical engineering
• Preferably 2-3 years of academic post-doctoral research and at least
7 years of industry research experience
• Advanced knowledge of the role of conventional and novel electronic
gases/materials in the fabrication and performance of thin-fim
solar PV devices
• Significant track record on technical publications and patent filings in
various aspects of electronic, FPD and Solar gases, chemicals and new
materials; technical project management, leadership skills and the
ability to work effectively with international colleagues
• Fluent in English, additional language would be a plus
