tf2 devices BV is a start up company based in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, pioneering the development and commercialisation of a novel, proprietary semiconductor processing technology to fabricate high performance, low cost III-V device structures for a range of applications such as solar cells, LEDs, laser diodes etc.
The Company is now looking to expand its development capability and is seeking a high calibre, experienced semiconductor scientist or engineer to join our existing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills and experience to join an ambitious, leading edge company operating at the centre of the high performance semiconductor sector. The role will be based initially at the Institute for Molecules and Materials, part of Radboud University, Nijmegen.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Design and implementation of experimental procedures on epitaxial III-V structures including
§ wet chemical processing
§ metallisation, photolithography, annealing
§ Characterisation and testing of devices for performance and reliability
§ Specifying equipment and dealing with suppliers
§ Monitoring literature, conference and patent sources to maintain an up to date awareness of the status of relevant processing and device technologies
§ Identifying and collaborating with external partners, both academic and commercial.
§ Providing regular reports on progress for the Company’s management
Requirements:
§ An excellent university degree in physics, electronic engineering, or chemistry
§ Experience in semiconductor device fabrication, and familiarity with clean room and/or semiconductor laboratory operations. Knowledge of the physics of devices, such as photovoltaic cells or LEDs, would be an advantage.
§ Strong project management and problem solving skills
§ A good understanding of commercial development timescales
§ Skilled in the safe, efficient operation of semiconductor process equipment and management of hazardous chemicals
§ Meticulous planning, implementation and documentation of laboratory procedures and experiments
