Job description:
• The Silicon Specialist Engineer will lead and drive efforts to identify & analyse processes linked to the crystallisation of silicon material in the field of Photovoltaic applications.
• Successful projects will contribute to make Vesuvius products the best added value for our customers worldwide.
• We are looking for an enthusiastic self starter who is eager to sharpen its engineering skills and keen to execute and lead on a portfolio R&D projects in cooperation with Sales, Production, Engineering, Quality Departments.
• To work with Vesuvius team in order to meet projects objectives in a respected timing.
• This position will report to the R&D Director
Job responsibilities:
• Understand customer needs and expectations
• Develop material & process solutions answering polysilicon market evolution
• Build experts network ( material suppliers, consultants, customers, ....) in the Solar Industry in order to be always at the latest technology findings
• Prepare analysis and recommendation for the process and market
• Follow-up introduction of new products / services / concepts from definition, testing to validation
• Develop presentation to communicate progresses and results on projects to the worldwide team
• Enhance overall ability to succeed at cost reduction initiatives for Vesuvius and its customers for the benefit of the industry Value Chain.
Qualifications required:
• University Degree in Material Sciences, Chemistry or Metallurgy
• 2-3 years working experience in silicon ingot growing, shaping, wafering or solar cell industry.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English. Additional language is a plus.
• Technical skills including problem-solving, statistical data analysis and design of experiment is essential
• Experience technical project as Leader or Coordinator in Asia is a plus
