We are developing large utility scale solar PV facilities to provide green energy to the major utilities in the Western US. 8minutenergy is also among the fastest growing companies in the industry. The current portfolio of projects exceeds 1,500 MW with explosive growth expected over the next few years.

8minutenergy is looking for an energetic leader with demonstrated expertise in managing cross-functional teams to develop power plants. The Vice President of Solar Power Development will manage 8minutenergy’s existing projects in various stages plus new projects from inception to construction.

The VP Solar Development will lead internal and external teams to advance milestones and complete deliverables such as Land-Use Permits, Interconnection and Transmission Service Agreements, and Purchase Power Agreements. The VP provides key insights relating to PV technology and large-scale design to secure 8minutenergy’s energy price leadership.

The selected candidate will apply project management and leadership skills in delivering projects on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction. This candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills to be effective in fostering relationships with partners and utility leaders.

Required qualifications are knowledge of and project management experience in the development of utility scale power generators, conventional or renewable. Preferably, the candidate has relevant work experience in the solar photovoltaic industry.

Preferred work place for this position is in Sacramento, however, 8minutenergy’s other office locations in Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area will be considered.
