The jobholder will assist in the development, application and evaluation of next generation solar materials and processes for Si solar cell manufacturing. He/she will be an integral part of a Solar Cell Application Center team, located in Seneffe Belgium, dedicated to developing new material and process solutions for current and emerging silicon solar cell structures.
His/her role emphasis will be put on functional coatings for light management and conversion efficiency improvements in Si solar cells. This project will demand a fundamental understanding of the novel plasma technology, the optimization of the process parameters to lead to the desired film performances and the understanding of precursor’s decomposition mechanisms.
- has a PhD degree (or equivalent experience) in physics, physical chemistry, material science or engineering
- has at least three years expertise in the field of thin-film plasma deposition technologies.
- has experience and expertise in analytical science. Experience in photovoltaic, electronics devices, optics, nanotechnologies is an asset.
- is able to work in clean-room environment and in materials preparation, application and testing
- has knowledge and practice in statistics and design of experimentation.
- has analytical and conceptual abilities, a scientific approach to problem solving and out-of-the box thinking
- has good organizational skills and flexible attitude
- has proficient project leader and a team oriented and co-operative approach.
- has excellent communication skills as well as the ability to leverage internal and external capabilities
- shows optimism and enthusiasm for the field with a high level of motivation
- is fluent in English . The knowledge of French is an asset.
